Function

The BPK 840 Lithium-Ion battery unit is designed to power manpack transceivers with 14.4V nominal voltage and 15 Ah capacity.
The battery consists of the assembly of six parallel branches of four lithium-ion cells in series (4s6p configuration) and connected by electronic protection circuit.
This unit is neither dismountable nor maintainable.

Description

High Impact Grade PC-ABS plastic case which is fastened underneath the transceiver. It is a one-piece unit provided with
  • Two toggle latches for fastening to the transceiver,
  • Two pins for the positive and negative terminals,
  • A third pin for recognition of the battery type by the charger,
  • An internal electronic circuit for the electrical protections,
  • Cylindrical Li-Ion elements, connected 4s 6p,
  • A display of 5 available capacity by LEDs (20%, 40%, 60%, 80% and 100%),
  • A terminal for float-charge facility.

The BPK 840 battery is provided with an internal electronic circuit for electrical protections related to charging, discharging, short-circuit and temperature.

Ergonomic

The BPK 840 battery is provided with a display of the available capacity which is always visible when pressing the specific button (battery connected or not) by built-in LEDs.

Storage

For optimum long term storage, it is recommended to store the battery packs half charged at 0°C to +25°C. A yearly maintenance charge is required.
