This is a 2/15/50 Watt VHF station for vehicle or fixed base station (building / shelter).
The tactical radio is designed for easy use by the operator. The user just needs to select the channel and press the PPT "Push To Talk" button to communicate.
Operation
TRC 5102 Transceiver:
The mode and services of the VHF station follow the features available on the TRC 5102 transceiver.
The radio is fitted on the mechanical support (or mounting tray) and connected with one coaxial cable to the booster (or amplifier) that is also connected to one antenna for either building (fixed) or vehicle (mobile).
50W Booster:
This 50W booster is a solid state tactical power amplifier meeting MIL STD-810C, designed to fit TRC 5102 radio sets.
The station transmission power is selectable, either low(0ff), medium or high power (from 2 Watt up to 50 Watt).
It provides automatic control of antenna and indicates wrong matching of antenna by changing the colour of an LED from green to red.
This high quality amplifier is using low noise MOSFET technology, withstand an output VSWR of 1:8 and is ideal for operation in very high environment temperature due to its effective heat sink construction.
The amplifier can be supplied with mounting for installation inside wheeled or tracked vehicle.
